H2Carrier participates in consolidation of wind farm developments in Finnmark, Norway

The three publicly owned energy companies NTE, SKS and Nordkraft announced today that it has formed a new partnership to consolidate its work with new wind farm developments in Finnmark with an intention to strengthen its’ commitment and ambitions to contribute to the energy and industrial expansion of Finnmark — a region with a significant need for new renewable energy, new industry, and a robust, future-oriented power grid. H2Carrier participates in this industrial consolidation through its’ 20% ownership in the Oksefjorden wind farm located in the municipalities of Lebesby and Gamvik. H2Carrier initiated the greenfield development of the Oksefjorden wind farm in 2024 before selling 80% of the ownership to NTE and SKS in 2025.
The developers will combine expertise, resources and industrial experience to finalize and submit license applications for three wind power projects which covers areas in the municipalities of Porsanger and Nordkapp in addition to the two municipalities mentioned above.
The new partnership will continue its work to ensure a continuation of the close dialogue with host municipalities and local communities, and with consideration for nature, reindeer husbandry, and existing industries.
The application (konsesjonssøknad) deadline for the projects are November 1, 2026.
